About

True confession:
Me being silly wearing faux sunglasses.
Confession: I have been known to read books completely beneath the covers on my bed.  Yep, I love reading a good book in bed before falling asleep, but my arms and fingers always turn frigid cold.  So I snuggle down under the sheets to keep a warm cocoon surrounding me and my book!  Hence the blog title Beneath the Cover.  But the title also means this blog delves into young adult books, beneath the cover, to offer reviews and book talks plus extras like teen interviews, video clips, book trailers, author interviews, etc.

With life running at break neck speed, I think everyone should huddle down once in awhile beneath the covers to spend time reading.  Whatever your interests, there is something out there for everyone to enjoy.  This blog covers a variety of young adult genres, but has as special emphasis on one of my favorites, classics.

Who am I?
My name is Renee and in the Fall of 2011, I decided to pursue a career in libraries.  Before that, I was a fourth grade teacher for seven years.  Currently, I'm a student in the graduate program at the iSchool at Drexel University with a concentration in Library and Information Services.  Very soon, March 2013, I will graduate with my Master of Science (MS) in Library and Information Science.  I look forward to beginning an exciting and fulfilling career in libraries.  This blog was created for a class on young adult resources, but I hope to continue adding to it in the future.
